Can solar panels work during a power outage?

Solar panels alone cannot power your home during a power outage. However, with the addition of a battery storage system, you can store excess energy generated by your panels and use it to power your home during an outage.

What is net metering?

Net metering is a billing arrangement that allows you to receive credit on your utility bill for excess energy generated by your solar panels. This credit can be used to offset the cost of energy you use from the grid.

What if I need to replace my roof?

If you need to replace your roof, solar panels will need to be removed and reinstalled. Our team can assist with this process and ensure that your panels are properly reinstalled.

How much does solar cost?

Solar has no upfront cost programs available. Every system is priced differently based on the system size, panel type, sun exposure and roof accessibility. The best way to find out

What happens if I sell my house?

Just like with your electric meter on the side of your house, the solar system stays with the home. The new homeowner will receive the benefits of the solar system in place as you go off to your new home.

Will the system work on cloudy days?

When we design your system our goal is to cover 100% of your usage. If that is possible for your home, you will produces enough power in the summer to cover your winter and cloudy day usage.

What if I use more power in the future?

If you begin to use more power than your system is designed to cover, as long as we have enough space on your roof, we can add more panels to cover the difference. On the flip side, if you begin to use less power your system will over produce and allow you to gain credits from your local utility company.
